Experiencia was wonderful. The city is bursting with culture and ethnicity. The teachers teach effectively, and are easy to understand. The people are friendly, and treat you as if they\'ve always known you. I was treated like family by everyone... teachers, home stay family, etc. I went to parties with fellow students and teachers; very fun! The excursions were great, and I liked the variety of activities that were integrated to help with the language studies (discussions, lectures, intercambio, etc). I stayed for three months, and became so attached to Cuernavaca and all the people that I met that I cried when I left. I loved it there, and will definitely return. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who would like to learn the language, whether you stay for one week, or sixteen!

If your thinking about coming to Experiencia, pack your bags. I studied at Experiencia for 4 weeks. On the first day after arriving from the airport I felt welcomed and accepted by my host family, by the first week I had friends do do activities with after classes, and by the second week, thanks to the teachers I could hear spanish words instead of - ftiwaurhtalsuhfhla- The school itself is excellent, the teachers all very experienced, the weekend trips are like a vacation, the teachers become like friends, and for 15 pesos during the break you can buy hot tortas (hot sandwiches with ham, cheese, lettuce and this special magic sauce). It becomes an addiction. After my time at Experiencia, nothing compared, and I ended up leaving another spanish school I was attending in Ecuador to travel a bit before returning to Cuernavaca and Experiencia to continue my studies. Theres amazing culture, amazing people, amazing nightlife, and AMAZING food. I highley highley recommend Experiencia and definately plan on returning even if its just to visit the family and say hi. If you have any questions, please e-mail. Im glad to answer all.

"The school has everything you need, including such things as money exchange, international phone, food services, etc. Everyone is nice and helpful. Also, the classes were great. The maestros have been teaching for a long time and know how to make the classes interesting and educational at the same time. I used the bus. It was super easy since the bus goes directly from the airport. I stayed with a family and it was good- although we didn't actually end up spending much time there. The house was clean and they were nice and easy to talk to. The meals were fine. When we asked her to cook something in particular, she did it. I never felt like I was invading, even when she had a birthday party at her house with all of her family. Spending a week at the beach (BEACH WEEK STUDIES PROGRAM) was the best part of the program. I learned twice as much Spanish there, plus is was a very unique experience. I felt fortunate to have been able to go on that trip. The cultural exchange (Bilingual Intercambio) is a really interesting idea that is lots of fun....it (EXPERIENCIA) is a very good program. I will consider going back.

The best parts... the beach, my professor (Fulgencio), Cuernavaca- it is a nice town."

"Everyone was helpful and professional...making all the arrangements was easy. I used the bus, which was very easy. It was also easy to find a cab and take it to my host family...the host family was great, the teachers were good and I learned a lot. My homestay was great! I was a bit nervous about staying with a family, but they put me at ease. They were obviously used to having students frequently. They spoke very clearly to me and were helpful with everything. I only ate breakfast there, which was great. There was a maid who prepared the meals, and there was always more food than I am accustomed to eating for breakfast, so I was well-fed! They were very friendly and helpful, and seemed interested in getting to know me. I liked the small size of the classes and the teachers were all very good. I was in a special program since I already knew most of the grammar from the books, and the teachers found appropriate and...challenging materials to use. I enjoyed the excursions a lot. We always had a guide who knew something about the location so we could learn about it. We were always told what to bring (i.e. good walking shoes, sunscreen, lunch) so we were prepared. I was lucky enough to be part of a week-long beach (study) excursion, which was one of the highlights of my trip! The intercambio (Bilingual Intercambio with Mexican students) was probably my favorite evening program. I got to meet a lot of people and practice speaking, which is what I needed the most. Some interesting lectures were provided too. The cost is very reasonable, Cuernavaca is beautiful, and you can learn a lot in a short amount of time. I have already told others about it (EXPERIENCIA). I want to return, and I have friends and family members who want to accompany me next time!

The best parts...improving my Spanish skills, meeting many new friends, my trip (BEACH WEEK STUDIES PROGRAM) to Playa Ventura."

"My trip to Mexico met all my expectations and then some... I'm glad I went... You guys did a great job... everything you said you were going to do, you did. Met people from all over the world...Norway, Swizterland, Germany, Canada, etc...I had breakfast at 08:00, class from 09:00 to 14:00, lunch at 14:30 and then a little siesta and then back to the school from 18:00 to 20:00 for various events...My head was full of Spanish...There were people of all ages... about 20 people the week I was there...It was not the most popular time of year... a discovered fact... Apr-May...hottest part of the year... sun was directly overhead... we were south of the Tropic of Cancer...It was hot in the sun, but cool in the shade...a breeze was always blowing...very pleasant... Once again... It was magnífico!!"
